Elizabeth Foster

Elizabeth Foster has been dancing since she was four years old. Elizabeth joined the VDT at age five, and it has been such an important part of her life since.

One of her favorite things about dancing at the VDT is the community. She loves helping get the younger dancers excited about the performances as well as meeting some of her best friends. Some of her favorite roles include Snow and performing as Mouse King with her brother as the Nutcracker. Dance also introduced Elizabeth to photography. She loved being the student photographer for the VDT, combining two creative passions while capturing special moments for the studio and dancers.

Next year, she will be attending University of Kentucky, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. She also plans to keep dancing throughout college and explore other forms of dance along the way. After college, she plans to continue as an engineer in the Air Force.

Harry continued this endeavour to date due to the rewarding nature of the program and the array of amazing people that make the shows possible. As of this year, he has been a part of the ballet corps for seven productions of The Nutcracker and three Spring Repertoires. Next Autumn, Harry will attend Stanford University with the intention to study political science with an emphasis in pre-law. This future development is aligned with a variety of his hobbies and interests, including but not limited to: reading, writing, political analysis, cross-ideological communication, and interdisciplinarity in policy. Aside from academia, Harry is also a first-degree Satori-certified martial arts instructor teaching kids ages 3-13 self defence, karate, and valuable life skills. He additionally has around ten years of experience in contemporary piano, though on occasion he also plays other instruments such as the ukulele and guitar.
