Mission
​
Our mission is to bring high-quality ballet performances to the local area and to be a leader in keeping the arts alive and accessible in the Tri-Valley. Our mission particularly includes exposing children to this form of art, hopefully growing into arts patrons as adults. With drastically reduced budgets for arts in the schools, these performances are critical to helping teachers achieve state standards for performing arts and is the first time many children have had an opportunity to see a live cultural performance.
Special Daytime Performances of the Nutcracker for School Aged Children
For the past eight years, Valley Dance Theatre has performed two special daytime shows of our Nutcracker ballet for local area school children, chaperones and teachers at a reduced ticket price. These performances are not open to the public. Each of the performances accommodates approximately 500 people and are held at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore.

The two outreach performances are available to K-12 classes from public and private schools as well as home-schooled students. Teachers and home school parents.
